Team archetype
Sun teams
Drought brings harsh sunlight for five turns. Chlorophyll doubles Speed under it, Solar Beam fires without charging first, and Solar Power adds 50% Sp. Atk at the cost of an eighth of your HP each turn.
Boosts the damage dealt by Fire-type moves by 50% and halves the damage dealt by Water-type moves.

Sun setters
These set sun the moment they switch in, without spending a turn. A sun team almost always starts here.
The payoff
Pokemon that profit from sun
Each of these has an ability that does nothing until sun is up, then changes the game.

Backup plan
Pokemon that learn Sunny Day
These can set sun with a move instead of an ability. It costs a turn and runs out, so it is usually the weaker option, but it opens the archetype to Pokemon outside the 3 that set it with an ability.
