Ranking

Pokemon Champions tier list

All 361 battle forms scored on five things the game data actually tells us. Every component is shown, so you can disagree with the weighting instead of taking a number on faith.

This is a computed ranking, not a competitive tier list

A real tier list comes from usage rates and win rates on the ladder. We do not have that data, and inventing it would be dishonest. What follows is a transparent score over five measurable things: base stats, the highest attacking stat, base Speed, how much of the type chart the movepool covers, and how the typing holds up defensively.

It is a good starting point and a bad final answer. A Pokemon can score low here and still win games on a mechanic the numbers cannot see.

Top 10%

Highest combined stats, coverage and defensive profile in the roster.

36

Top 25%

Strong on the numbers, usually with one standout component.

54

Upper half

Solid across the board without dominating any single measure.

90

Lower half

Weaker on raw numbers. Several are still worth running for a specific job.

Methodology

How the score is calculated

Base stats
30%

Base stat total, normalised across the roster. The 66-point training budget cannot close a big base-stat gap, so this stays the largest single component.

Offense
22%

The higher of Attack and Special Attack. What the Pokemon actually threatens with, rather than points spent on stats it never uses.

Speed
20%

Base Speed. Moving first decides turns, so it earns weight of its own rather than being buried inside the stat total.

Move coverage
20%

How many of the 18 types the Pokemon can hit for super effective damage using a move it actually learns in Champions.

Defensive typing
8%

Resistances and immunities counted against weaknesses. Deliberately small: good typing helps, but it does not win games on its own.

What it deliberately ignores

Ability quality, held items, move priority, and everything about how a Pokemon actually plays. Scoring those would require judgement calls this site has not earned. An earlier version of this ranking also ignored Speed, which put a 50-Speed wall above a 700-stat threat. That is fixed, but it is a good illustration of how much the weighting decides the answer. Scores are normalised positions relative to the rest of the roster, so the absolute number means nothing on its own.

If you want to check the maths on a specific Pokemon, its species page shows the raw stats and full learnset the score is built from.
